Vicki and Victor
“A New Home Near the Grandkids”
After over 25 years of marriage, Vicki and Victor are more in love now than ever before. They are an incredibly inspiring couple. They are difference makers. Even President Obama says so!
At the White House a few years ago, President Obama honored Vicki by awarding her the National Humanities Medal. Of course, he didn’t refer to her as “Vicki,” but “Professor Vicki Ruiz, Distinguished Professor of History at the University of California, Irvine.” What a memorable way to transition into retirement! Victor’s retirement soon followed as he stepped down from his esteemed post as Director of Community Outreach at UC Irvine.
With a new chapter beginning, Vicki and Victor faced a challenge—relocating from Irvine to be closer to their children and grandchildren around the Pasadena area. They were reluctant to get the ball rolling because their past real estate experiences had been such a pain. A friend of theirs referred them to Lin Realty Group, and we’re so glad they did! Here’s what Vicki and Victor had to say about their experience working with our team and the unique value we were able to provide:
“From the first meeting we had with Eva, we knew that she was the right person to help us. She was sharp, professional, and 100% interested in learning about our vision for what we wanted in our new home. Over time, what we came to admire most about Eva was her positivity and her “partnership” mentality.
The market in Pasadena and Altadena is very tough for buyers right now. Competition is downright fierce! Eva helped us stay positive, reassuring us that she would secure a home we truly love. She was an incredible partner in the process. She helped us increase our chances of having our offer accepted (even if it wasn’t the highest offer) and, true to her word, she helped us win our dream house.
We highly encourage you to meet Eva and have a conversation with her if you’re planning to buy a home in the Pasadena or Altadena area. Not only will you find a top real estate agent, but you’ll also find a warm and enthusiastic advocate, someone who is in your corner and fully represents your interest, someone who knows the business, is completely genuine, and will make you feel comfortable. Our relationship started out as a business relationship, but we will always think of Eva as a friend.”Back to Client Success Stories
